I grew up in the small mountain town of Ruidoso, New Mexico where I graduated from Ruidoso High School in 1975. I attended college at New Mexico State University where I majored in Electrical Engineering, when at the end of my third semester I took a job as an auto mechanic which steered my career in that direction and I never finished my degree. I met my wife, Emma in 1989 and we were married a few months later. Soon after Emma and I were married we decided to open our own business, so in April of 1991, Desert Automotive was born and is currently still in operation. Emma was a federal employee at the time working at White Sands Missle Range as an electronic technician. We have a daughter Brittany who is now 30. (I cheated, I got her with the deal when she was 10, so no dirty diapers for me). Brittany has 2 boys that keep her(and us) busy. Sadly, Brittany's husband Jason was killed 2 years ago in a off-roading accident, which has been a horrible blow to our family. He worked with me in the business and was my right hand. He is sorely missed.
